Job Description
Software Test Engineer proficient in the creation and execution of test software and software test procedures, as well as the creation of resultant test reports. Works under general direction to provide inspection, test, and analysis of software programs, as required. Review Software Requirements Specification (SRS) requirements for testability and determine the verification method for each requirement. Maintain SRS to Test Procedure traceability. Support Program Management Reviews and Technical Interchange Meetings. Review and track software requirement changes for impact on tests. Review software unit test descriptions. Develop Software Test Descriptions (STDs) defining; hardware/software test environment, detailed step-by-step test procedures, input test data and expected results for all test procedures. Develop software test and data analysis tools. Perform formal Software Functional Qualification Test. Document test results in Software Test Report.
Job Requirements
Minimum of four years experience in software development with multiple languages. Demonstrable experience testing real-time/embedded systems software. Quick learner who can grasp big-picture understanding of a complex system. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with a diverse group of team members. BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Physics.
Nice to Have
Previous experience in MATLAB scripting. Knowledge of Ada, Perl, Unix, and Java. Experience with Radar systems software development or test. Systems Integration or Development experience a big plus. Previous experience working in a CMM/CMMI Level 4 environment. Existing DoD Secret clearance.
